My birthday Party

Today is my birthday and my sister-in-law surprised me by making a special dinner for Renel & I. We even sat at the table for about 5 minutes... until a truck drove by & the sound scared us enough to take our plates outside ;)

Happy Birthday.

So glad that things are finally becoming a tiny bit easier and that you are able to take a little time for yourself.

Rebecca,
I have been reading your blog for a while via a forum on ravelry just after the earthquake where your name was mentioned as the only raveler who lives in Haiti. My heart goes out to you, your husband and the children you are working with. I can't imagine the fear. Thinking about a truck driving past sending you outside breaks my heart. I want to let you know that a little church family in the middle of Michigan, is praying for you. You are an inspirational woman. Through this difficult time you have remained so strong. The simple fact that you have remained in the country, when surely you could return to Canada to be with your family there speaks volumes to your character. I'm happy to be getting to know you through your blog. Your work there is BIG!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY :D What a wonderful tribute from your SIL. The next year will involved much work, I know, but I pray this will be an amazing year for you, one in which you see the hand of God work in and through your life as well as the lives of all the kids at H2H.

May you see His faithfulness, peace, strength and power at work in amazing ways. Our prayers continue to be with you and may God richly bless you for all you are doing for those children in His name. Blessings!

Happy Birthday!
When life finally begins to settle, you will need to write a book. You are an inspiration to many including my daughters. We need role models of Christ like you and those you are working with to spur our young people on. Thanks for sharing so truly of yourself during this time. We continue to pray for you and those you care for on a regular basis.

God Bless, Renata Johnson
