Re-enforcements have arrived!

Roger and Albert (board-members for H2H) arrived today and we are so happy to see them! Not only did they bring some much needed supplies but they lifted our spirits like only they could have :)

Unloading the truck last night:

Today they spent most of the day assessing the damage to our buildings but of course they also spent lots of time with the kids.

They were also able to meet my US Marine friends as they dropped off another supplies this afternoon:

We also had a huge breakthrough yesterday... city power has been restored to our zone!!! We've only had a few hours of power but it has still been a huge relief to know some level of "normal" is on its way.

We have received a substantial amount of aid already, and I am incredibly thankful to all those who are supporting us, but these last 3 weeks have taken a toil on the kids and I am praying that we'll be able to get them sleeping inside soon. Here are some pictures I took this morning of the kids around the yard.

Thank You so much for the pictures! My husband is one the marines there. Is there anyay I can get a copy of the video with them tossing the water? I'd would like to share it with my husband's family. I'm so happy that the Mariens have been able to help the orphanage and other various organizatins. I am very proud of my husband and that he could help you. You're in my thoughts & prayers, God Bless.

Hey Rebecca TWU has like, 300 Lbs of rice for you guys! I am not kidding! They keep coming up with creative ways to send rice to H2H.
You know how exciting it is to see what you guys are getting? I just thanked God for electricity tonight. Forgot it was a blessing to have. I am glad you got power. God's definately watching over you guys!
Hootenanny had a rice and toonie fundraiser and have over a table full of rice + donations. It's pretty sweet!

SO glad to hear you have some power again! Loved the short video of the supply chain. Sorry to see the solemn faces of the kids, but pray they will soon be smiling again as they see God's faithfulness.

I spoke with Terianne regarding clothes as I have a lot of them my kids have grown out of. Will have her give them to your mom so she can add them to the things coming your way. Am brainstorming with the kids as to how they can help raise money to send your way -- lemonade stand in the summer, extra chores at home etc. Our prayers continue to be with you!!
