One of the Haitian speaking Marines sat with a group of kids and gave them the 'don't be a fool, stay in school' speech. The kids hung on every word!

Mackenley couldn't keep his eyes off the Marine, even to drink his water:

He shared some family photos with them:

An organization, Terre des Hommes, has lent us 6 large tents for the kids to sleep in. They are great! Here is a picture of the younger boys new house... conveniently located by the playground:

Other things may change us,but we start and end with family...I know its tearing up my heart pandan mwen ap pale a but i'm so glad for every one....first i'd like to think Rebecca for everything she has done for our people....you're great i like you more every time.....So needless to say, I’m thrilled. So far, I’m very pleased with everything.
Being outside from us isn't easy...
I find myself missing you so often,in so many ways...
but even though we can't be together right now,but I keep praying fo us. I was thinking of everybody today, as I often do. It seemed like the right time to let us know. I really miss them and look forward to the time when I wanna be able to see their beautiful smiling face...............When the sun disappears behind the clouds, remember that god will be here to walk with us through the storms of life.......love u so my people.....
